Northbridge Vending Company Ltd - Project Northbridge Vending Company Ltd, a Burnley success story saw owner Craig Holt purchase a Greenfield site for development into industrial units, both for letting and his own company’s expansion. The two acre site was planned in two phases, following extensive environmental investigations the first phase began with the re-homing of a protected species the great crested newt which allowed us to progress with site clearance and installation of services. The portal frame structure was built to first floor in natural stone with the remainder cladded. Internally walls were blocked to full height in the office and 2m in the warehouses. The car parking and grounds incorporated drystone walling and were landscaped on a theme to match the abutting moorland. We fulfilled the clients design brief by providing a modern compact two storey office unit with ground floor reception, stores, kitchens and toilets, allowing meeting rooms and offices to take best advantage of the 2nd floor views with expanses of aluminium glazed units. The compact design allowed the premium of space to be used for the workshop and warehouse. Also completed were two neighbouring multi functional and easily adaptable units which would appeal to businesses seeking a let property. Phase 2 is planned for Spring 2010.
